Kazakhstan keeps producing chess talent. Zhansaya Abdumalik is one of the reasons: together with Bibisara Assaubayeva, she represents a new generation that has put Central Asia on the map of world women’s chess.

Who is Abdumalik

She was born on 1 November 2000 in Almaty. She progressed through the world junior championships and earned the Grandmaster title, becoming Kazakhstan’s number 1. In 2021 she reached her peak of 2496 ELO.
