Who is Svidler
He was born on 17 June 1976 in Saint Petersburg. He became a Grandmaster young and quickly established himself as one of the best players in Russia. His first Russian championship came in 1997, followed by seven more, a record that makes him the player with the most national titles in modern-era Russia.
In 2014 he reached his peak of 2765 rating.
